Local Business Tax (LBT) Exemptions
Business owners who live in Miami-Dade County and are 65 years old or older, or disabled, may be exempt from paying a business tax. However, a business tax receipt will be required to operate a business.
To qualify for the exemption, the business owner must have no more than one employee or helper and use their own capital, with no more than $1,000 invested in starting the business.
